SWANSEA public health chiefs say they have been taken aback by the high level of demand for cervical cancer jabs among teenage girls.They say they were surprised with the number of 12 and 13-year-old girls wanting to take up the vaccine against the human papilloma virus (HPV), which causes most types of the disease.

Maltese Scouts and Girl Guides took the streets of Valletta by storm on Sunday 5th May, as they paraded through the capital for their ninth joint annual parade. This year’s event holds particular significance to the Scout Association of Malta, which is celebrating its national centenary.

His Majesty the King of Sweden was in Vienna, Austria in mid-September to help Scouting. In a press conference he and other speakers praised the work being undertaken by Scouts in Austria, and he spoke about the values of Scouting to himself and to society.
